Row 2: sc in same sc as ch1, sc across, ch 1, turn.

Row 3: repeat row 2.

(Strap)

This can be as long or as short as you want, or no handle at all. Itís up to you. Hereís what I did:

Make a ch long enough to fit from one shoulder to opposite hip and to the purse.
sc in second ch from hook, and in remaining chs, ch 1 and turn.

Next row: sc in same sc as ch 1, sc across.

Finishing:

Holding side piece to back piece, carefully line up and sc them together all the way around. Do the same for the front piece. Sew strap onto side on purse securely. Sew on a snap to the flap or make a loop and sew on a button to fasten, you could also use Velcro to fasten it.
Darn in a loose ends.
